Pony Serial Number Question

My neighbor has a Pony with serial number PGA1081A. I assume it's a 1947 model based on the serial number data that I've seen but what does the letter A on the end designate? TIA

I think you have the industrial version of the model 11 which was designated as a model 14, which was produce in 1948, serial numbers started at PGA 1001A and ended with PGA 1570A for the production run for that year.
