Just wondering what the difference was between these two.
HP? speeds , gears etc.

It looks like there were only three years of the Pacer.
Any weaknesses of either?
Any help would be appreciated - thinking about buying one.
Thanks

the pacer is alot more rare than the pony, pacer has a longer frame, pony uses a n62 continental the pacer uses a y91 continental. the pony puts out around 8 drawbar hp the pacer around 13. pacer pulls 2 12 inch plows, the pony one 14 inch plow.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Any idea why the Pacer was only made for three years? Do you know of any negatives about either of these models?

well i assume the reason for the 3 yrs for the pacer was because that was about the time they switched to ferguson. we have no problems with either of the tractors. they are both good dependable tractors. pacer has alot more power though.

i would say that if you have a chance to buy a pacer or pony, i would buy the pacer if you can get it at a good price. 1500-2000 unrestored
