Hey guys-got a pony that is having carb problems.I took carb apart and cleaned it.Every thing looks good.My problem is gas will not run into carb when I put it back togeather.Is there suppose to be a vent hole in the top of carb?It acts like it is air tight.I loosen bolts holding carb togeather and gas runs in like it should.Any help here?Thanks Mike

Sounds like to me you have needle valve sticking or float problem.

Try to see if you get a good flow when your gas cap is off. You could possably have a vent problem(can't breath) Also do you have the old style sediment bowl? If you do you may want to look at that. they can give you a lot of problems sometime.

I had one that when rebuilt had the wrong gasket between the carp halfs. The bowl vent was blocked , and it did the same thing as yours.

Sounds like the float is hitting the inside not much room in there when you loosen the screws it frees it up.
