my 1941ford9n starts right up but when i give it gas it pops&skips through the exhaust.i checked cyl.#1and #2 both are not firing.tractor only running on #3and#4 cyl.changed spark plugs and still popping and no fire to #1and#2cyl.any suggestions on the next steps i should take?

check with a different wire just to be sure.. but afterwards.. pull dizzy and check bushing wear.. might be loose and closing up points on part of the travel..

Not firing as in those 2 cylinder are not running or no fire as in no spark at the plug wires??? Reason I ask is the fix can be different between those options. If no spark then you have a distributor/plug wire problem but if you have spark but the cylinders do not run then it could be as simple as plug wires on wrong or a compression problem of stick rings or valves etc.
