What a Pull!!! GCTC would like to thank pull Host Jim Shieldnight, and everyone for braving the heat, and the 179 hooks. Thanks Ed Dugan and Ronnie Cummins for their efforts in preparing and maintaining the track, and a good track it was.. Special thanks to track workers, and Heath Underwood and the Wagoner County Emergency Management, for the their services.. Brian and Susan Ales won the couples pull with a difference of 1.95 feet. Next Pull is at Vinita on the 30th..

I fell like I need to defend the sled and the sled operator and all the peaple that worked so hard to put the porter pull on. First I was at the pull and if you seen the weight box It only changed speeds only twice in the lighter classes about 3/4 of the way to the top on a 300 plus foot track.and topping out about 325 feet in the other gear that was used.weights were added later for the heiver classes.dont you think if larry was gonna change gears he would do it in the classes his tractor pulled in .(I dont think so) I have pulled a lot of differate sleds they all work the same Differance is the tractors you are pulling aginst. thats my thoughts.

i agree with fastpuller. diffrent weight classes require more weight. and they do that befor each class begins. im my opinion its hats off and respects to the sled man and everyone it takes to put the pull on.
