possible a rd engine

I ran across this motor out of a ih road tractor. Found numbers: 125917-r1 on head and (i think) J0644-rt on block. Does anybody now exactly what it is and would it be worth anything? Maybe a red diamond? thanks

your valve cover should be only about 2" tall & there should be a flat machined surface on the block under the #1 spark plug.It may have an air pump mounted covering this spot but it will tell you what it is. Example RD 372,RD 406,RD 450,RD501 then it would have a serial # under it.Hope this helps. Tim

rd 501 makes a great puller . drops right in a 560

What do you mean by drop in? Machine a flywheel,extend input shaft,make an adapter plate,this is by no means a drop in.

I don't think you have to use an adapter , I have a friend with one in his and there isn't an adapter.
