That's not very long. Needs to be at least a day or two. Like, allow for time to correct mistakes like the Farmall 140 date in today's Pics post.

Other tractor sites I frequent have longer period of time to edit than "one hour"!

I raised the limit to 24 hours. Hopefully this is a decent compromise! Thanks

Can you set it to put a tag on it, so it shows it was edited, any time after the first 15 minutes to half hour? That would allow fixing a mistake missed in proof reading, without noting the edit. Noting a later edit could explain why, in some cases, replies don't seem to match a post a few hours later. If a post is quoted the original post, not the edited one still shows in the reply, is that correct?

I think Modern View did have an "Post edited" time stamp.

This software apparently does too, might have to turn it on.
Shows up (if not customized) in lower right corner of a post like so:

Turned on while typing this edit! LOL.

The edit function can be used for 2 things.
To edit a typo
To edit a wrong answer.
Seems an hour is plenty enough time to edit a typo
Maybe not the case with a wrong answer

I like the idea of a time stamp and original post not the edited one showing in the reply.

It's quite easy to quote the post that can no longer be edited and then make a correction in the new post if it comes to that.
