Post Lifter for 3 Pt?

I've read several comments on this page about a 3 pt., post type lifting attachment for these old tractors. I've never seen one, can someone post a pic or provide a link to a pic? I think I might be able to use one and would like to understand how they are set up.

All I've ever used is a chainwrapped around the bottom of the post, and hooked to the hook on the drawbar.Any way you do it,be careful not to lift until it flips your machine.I once pulled a force of 20,000 lbs pulling a chain link fence post with about 16 inches by 7-8 inches of concrete with a bucket truck with auger and 42 ft. crane that I was working.I felt the truck listing and let go.Don't underestimate the pulling force required to pull anything.---lha

tigerfan,The 3point lift arms with a drawbar and chain works well. But I like to use a old 10.00X20 dayton truck rim and a chain hoked to the drawbar then over the rim next to the post and hooked low as you can get it hooked. It will pull them right out and not bend p the steel posts.

I use the drawbar and chain too - for the reasonable ones:-) If the ground is damp, you can get most by wiggling them up or use a T-post popper(works on wood posts too)

For the UNREASONABLE ones I swap the drawbar for the boom pole and haul my shop crane out - it is hard to resist two tons of upward pressure, and no risk of tractor flip. Works for stumps too.

Sure like the idea of using a rim on the drawbar to keep from bending the posts.

thanks,
Doug
