Is it possible to post a short video here? I haav a problem with my hydraulic pump on my 300U. I have posted here a couple times and followed advice but still have issue. What happens is this0 every once in awhile the pump screams, and slows down and the engine kinda ships a beat. Then it ( runs) continues as if nothing has happened and all is well. I have cleaned to tank, lines changed fluid. Does this in hot weather as well. Maybe a video is needed to show what is going on.
thanks in advance

How long does it do it? A second or three? If that is all that is normal, usually after they warm up they quit doing that. The pilot orifices were drilled too small at the factory and it is placing the hydraulic system on high pressure. The same thing happens when you use a hydraulic function. When you redirect the flow from the ..open center.. with the remote lever the flow and pressure against the pilot orifice quickly increases. Then it kicks the system onto high pressure, but you have opened a valve that gives the oil a place to flow to. When cold the more viscous or thick oil restricts the flow and it fools the pilot valve to trip in. We had both a 300 and 350 Farmall both did it never hurt a thing. Now there is a screen for the pilot orifice that can plug this will make the system go on demand when it should not be.
