POW steer fluid vs hy gard

This probably has been on here/discussed before, if so please share the link.
Is the JD power steering fluid sold for the 2 bangers, the same as the newer Hy Gard hydraulic fluid ?
I have both fluids, both look the same, currently only use power steering fluid only as power steering fluid and Hy Gard for hydraulics in 40 series hydraulics.
Thinking it would be nice to use only the Hy Gard if possible to cut down on having more bottles of fluids in storage

If it were the same Deere wouldn't still market the power steering fluid. It's been a long time but I think the power steering fluid is thinner than Hyguard. More like 10wt and almost clear.

I just continue to use the special PS fluid designated for the older and 2-cyl tractors and use the hy-gard for newer stuff. In the past had used other brands of hyd/transmission fluid but changed the 4020 to hy-gard and it may be my imagination, but I think the power shift on the 4020 shifts a little easier with the hy-gard.

My opinion- Hy-Gard didn't exist when the two cylinders tractors first had power steering. So I only used the special PS fluid in my tractors and never had a problem. Then I got a 825 roll over plow. This plow has the same seals in the cylinder as the two cylinder power steering system. This plow could have been hooked up to any hydraulic system over the years and it didn't seem to matter what fluid had been used. Having rebuilt several two cylinder power steering systems over the years I always thought the special fluid had to be for the seals. But after my experience with this plow I decided it didn't matter if I use Hy-Gard or the high priced special JD fluid. So now I use only HY-Gard. I would continue selling the special fluid if I were JD just for the profit margin.

I think the power steering fluid is lower viscosity than the hyguard. I think automotive power steering fluid would be a better choice than hyguard.
