Power king clutch

I put a clutch in a Power king 1618 and I can’t get it to release. When I step on the clutch, it will not release the transmission. Has anybody had that problem? Please help. Thanks

Did you by chance put the clutch disk in backwards?? If you did it will not release.

This is a four speed with 3 plates. I think they can only go one way.

What does the fork (15) push against? Just FYI, outside of experience with other clutches in machines, I know zero about your particular machine.
