Power steering Drag Link

Wondering if any of you guys would happen to have Drag Link from a 960 Narrow front (with Powersteering).
Mine must have gotten bent years back. Looks like front wheels got turned into a ditch or something and the drag link took a lot of the hit.
Whoever had it farm jerry rigged it by bending it back best they could and then welding another smaller (probably 7/16 diameter) steel rod along the entire length as a stiffener.
It worked but looks terrible and now that she is under restoration I would like to put an original,good shape one back on.I have checked around and have not had any luck locating one.
Wengers etc. and nothing so far. I know I could cut off the ends , weld them onto a new straight shaft but it just won't have the look of he original. Any one have one that they would want to part with ?

everyone I have ever seen has been damaged and repaired. all kinda have some bend in em.

I think you are overestimating how hard it would be to repop one.

I've made quite a few draglinks for my tractors.. the ones I took my time on look oem...

Well thats what I thought I was going to hear and I'm sure I can do it . Just trying to eliminate one more headache if I could.
If no one else posts back in a couple of days I'll have to go ahead with the modification.

Try Gap Tractor in Cranfill's Gap, TX. I know for a fact he was parting out a 901 a year ago.

Hey Greg,

If you use GOOD tubing,(like DOM,roll bar quality,NOT water pipe !!! lol) you can make some nice stuff! It is how all of the afermarket companys do it!That is how my Farmall repro and my Ford 600 stuff was done.
What are the threads on your ball joints?Most race car tubing we use can be had in the correct I.D. and O.D. to tap the threads inside the tubing,Right or left hand threads. You can copy someone elses drag link pretty much exact.ANY good race car chassis builders can bend and thread your tubing if you dont want to do it yourself.Just have a good pattern to copy.BTW,I have a list a mile long of chassis builders.Email if needed?

if you don't find one, don't hesitate to build one. I find it fun. I made one for my 950 and 951 and 4000, looks as good as the oem arm on my 740.

have made em for my 3000 as well.

grinder work and some paint and they are as good as new.

Cut the steel rod of then bend it back. I probable bend my link once a year, Last year bent it into a u shape not joking coming out of a ditch. I used a 6 ft pipe and the long frame rail on a grain bin to straighten it.

Think about it if the shaft won't bend then what else is going to give. I bet something expansive.

I have a '57 960, a '59 971 and a '61 961. They all have power steering and drag links with the same curve in them. I have seen a number of others with the same curve which led me to believe that they are supposed to have a pretty significant curve in them. I would estimate about five inches from straight.
