I have a Ford 4000 1970 . My book says to use Ford M2C41-A for power steering fluid. Would it be ok to use a good trans. fluid or a good power steering fluid? How about hyd. oil? Book says M2C53A can I get the right hytran oil for it? Thankyou Al

use the same utf oil in the power steering as you are now using in your 4000 rear sumps. IE UTF fluid meeting M2C134D specs.. ( walmart, TSC.. etc.. ).. Nothing bad would happen to your PS if you had put ps/atf in there though.. it's just easier to stock a single oil like utf.. etc.

Yes,, a UTF that carries fords 134D spec can be used in every sump but the engine.

Transmission
rear end(MUST be used here because of wet breaks)
