power steering oil

What kind and weight oil do you use in power steering on the old 900 series ford tractors my looks a little low in the resarvor thanks

CNH recommends CNH 134D or equivalent, in everything except the engine and final drives.

Be certain to inspect/change the filter inside the reservoir.

if it's creamy, flush it and change out filter like dean said.

Dean: What are "final drives" that you wrote about. Are you referring to the rear-end perhaps. I was under the impression that the rear-end takes 134 oil. Is this assumption incorrect or should I be using some other weight oil in my 861? Thanks. Bill
