Power Steering

I have a Case 530 TLB, and the power steering is not working. no leaks, pump seems to work, the control stud moves, but no power.
I'm not sure how to diagnose it, and concerned if I take apart the power cylinder, no parts are available to fix it? advice?

I took off the cylinder and took it apart, and heck it is hard to tell if its ok or not.
The o-rings are good, but they are just to prevent leaking at the ends.

Putting air pressure on it and sliding the control, it switches output between ports going to the cylinder, but if I just cover the hole with my finger, it seems to send the air back to the return line. This indicates to me the control valve is bad, it shouldn'y divert unless there is a lot of pressure.

I'm thinking I might try to adapt a power steering box from a ford truck.

I would certainly replace all of the o-rings before doing anything else. If they are originals they will have hardened and taken a set and may be leaking. That would be the least expensive test before trying to cobble some modification together. Also chek with John Saeli at http://www.external_link.com/

John maye be able to help with the control valve if your dealer is former Red or NH. Original Case dealers know the equipment betetr but in some areas are hard to find.
