Power Trol not working

I have a 1958 JD 420....the lift IS Working...but Leaking....and won't lift a heavy load with a boom pole....Where can I get parts AND the needed Information to rebuild this Unit? AND....is This something that Can be tackled by the average Tractor owner?.......is there a video that would help?...any books available?.....Thank You In advance for your help.....

Is this something that should be done Professionally...AND are there Any shops in the Southeast that will do this...?

You need a manual, there is a procedure for determined where the problem is in the Powr Trol unit. All the seals and gaskets are available from Deere. Nothing hard about the job just some parts are heavy. The unit will need to be removed form the tractor.
