power washer

Let me throw this out there. Power washer, been sitting 2yrs. Got the gas motor running. It builds no pressure. Any ideas.THKS

If ran withut water turned on it, it will burn the pump up.

If let freeze with water in it, it will screw it up.

I had one that only set over the winter. Same problem as you. Took to shop and inside was froze up from corrosion. Cost more for parts than a new pump unit. Bought new pump, bolted on and ready to go. I have hard well water and it is hard on inside. I followed manuel for winter storage exactly, but still had problem. Must have water hooked up to run engine. HTH, Bob

Thanks for the info.Had a chance to mess whit it tonight.Got lucky, tipp had pluged up. Used my trouch files to clean it.Didnt have time lastnite.Wife wanted to take it to a rental this morn.Thks again

My tip plugged up last year - soaked it in vinegar for a day or two and that cleaned it out - hard water or rust - not sure which.
