i have a 4430 with a powershift. here is a little back round. 2 years ago when i bought it, i replaced the entire unit. i rebiult the clutch pack including a new pump. then i rebiult the planetary pack under the cab, then i did the (i call them shift valves) valve body where the accumulators are, and last but not least, i put all the new valves on the side where you set your oil pressure. i pulled it all year and at the end of the year, once again my clutch packs where burnt and wrapped. (forgot to mention above, i replaced the clutch disc and double sprung it, had the flywheel surfaced..ect) that brings me to this spring. i once again replaced all the discs in the clutch packs. (this time i used deere plates instead of one's from a&i which ended up being the same thing). so to get an idea what it was going to do, i decided to farm it. after plowing for about an hour with a 4 bottom plow, the 3 point hitch wouldn't pick up. so i hauled it to my local dealer who ended up finding an internal leak in the 3 point hitch. i rebiult it. now i have plowed 100+ acres, and mowed and bailed all summer. it has never shifted so well, and my hydraulics work really awesome. that brings me to today. last night i went to my first pull. in a 13,000 class in 7th gear running 2400 rpms, instead of spinning out, my rear tires quit moving and my engine took off. i have had this thing on the dyno and its not the clutch plate at the flywheel slipping. my system pressure is 195 psi. anyone have any suggestions? im getting tired of splitting this tractor, and taking the cab off it. it is a great farm tractor. we have one of these ps 4430 in the family all beafed up (450+hp) and his tractor with 32" wide tires running almost 4000 rpms will spin out. i am at a loss. anyone have any thoughts at all?
