Powerhorse chainsaw

Got the Northern catalog and it shows these Chinese saws for very good money, almost 1/2 of a Husky or Stihl or Echo. A friend of mine has used the gas engines as replacements on some lawnmowers and he says they run great with no problems. Anybody own one and used it long enough to decide whether it is a keeper or not?
Thanks

they run good- if you used them 5 minutes a year and have all day to cut thru a 5 inch piece of wood, other than that they are usless junk, i bought one for one of my helpers to use last year as he wasnt experienced and i have my stihll o44 modified to do some cutting , i didnt want a novice on this saw, it will hurt you, the guy couldnt get much done with the new saw it didnt have any power, the centrifigul clutch wouldnt lock up good, and the chain had so many safety devices on it he might as well have had a carpenters hand saw to use it would have probably cut more wood, i wouldnt take one of those saws if it was free spend the money and get you a stihl, and a good one of those take care of it, and you'll be willing the thing to your kid
