Powerstroke CPS update and short rant

Thanks to all that replied the other day regarding code scanners for PSDs and the cam posistion sensor.

I replaced the CPS and it seems to have eliminated the engine cut-out / stalling problem.

It should have been a ten minute job, but of course it wasn't. I can never understand why it sometimes takes 20 darn minutes to get a little $#@** bolt restarted into it's &%)%!ng little hole, even if I am laying in a contoured, painful posistino! Whey, I feel a little better, thanks for listening

Great to here. Maybe if ya started doing pilates, it would make it easier. I know what you mean though, it`s easy enough to get to, just impossible to see at the same time you`re digging your arm down there.

I was in a hurry when I put the one in my truck, looked to see where it was, and got on it easy enough. Once I pulled it out, it seemed alittle longer than I remembered. In the time it took to look down at the bolt and then get the socket on, I jumped up and over a bit and pulled out a water pump bolt.. That was one of them moments when you look around the shop and make sure no one is looking and laughing at you, and quietly put it back in.

That's covered by a theorem called "The Perversity of Inanimate Objects"- Don't recall the formal statement of it, but the gist is that little items of hardware will get troublesome precisely when you're in the poorest position to fight back.

I got mine from underneath, still is a pain in the butt.
Lucky for me my son is a Ford tech.

Hint: Use a 1/4" drive, 10mm, deepwell socket and get from underneath. Ive changed a few and have gotten good at it.

You should try changing the thermostat in a 95 Nissan 200SX!! My brother had one that wouldn't heat up and I did it as a project in high school. I had to take it out and reinstall it atleast 4 times, and each time the 2 bolts that hold it in were a major PITA to work with.
