Powr-Trol Serial Number?

Trying to get parts for my powr trol, bushings, , seal cup etc. Parts catalog has specifics by serial number. Any hints on where I might still be able to find the serial number?
It's on a 46 slant dash A with a pan seat, not sure if it's the original unit.
Thanks!

jd doesn't make the bushings any more that ride against the cup in the power trol unit. i had a guy write me tonight and tell me that he got one from old tractor parts some where. i got in to big of a hurry and deleted the info. maybe he'll read this and post it again for everybody. of the guys i've helped give advice to on here for the oil leaking into the tranny two of us, i said us, have gotten the key that drives the pto gears off the pto shaft in wrong or didn't put it back in and found it lying on the work bench. always put things in old coffee cans or other things with lids if you can. zip lock bags make a wonderful thing to put small objects in. if somebody reading this is in the machine shop business it would be nice if you'll would manufacture some of these for people. this seems like a dozen times this subject has been talked about on here and on the johnny popper forum. there is still info avaiable on the johhny popper forum under main discussion heading and you can get a lot of info here from doing a search on this subject on this forum. replace the spring in there for sure. it was amazing to me how much mine had shrunk when compared to the new one. apparently over time these things loose some of the ability to keep the same compression on the cup. the final mating surface between the cup and the bronze bushing is the final seal between the tranny and the power trol oils. good luck. if you want to talk to me please em me and i'll send you my phone number.
