Pre 1965 Case power steering

So I have seen a lot of posts about 930 comfort king power steering but none as old as mine, we have a 1963 case 930 CK (round fender era) and the power steering belt driven pump squeals terribly, the steering has about 1/2 a turn of slop as well, can anyone point me in the right direction for theses fixes? The Steering box has been adjusted fully and not much difference. Cheers, Ben

BenCase930 ,I would start with a new power steering belt and see what that does as the belts get worn on the sides and slip. The pulleys also get worn, keep the new belt tight.

A squealing belt is a sign of a good pump. A new tight pump belt will actually make the 2 fan belts slip if they are worn out or not tight.
The steering wheel shaft has roller bearings that are shimmed. My guess is that those bearings either need replacing or adjusted. Back the
gear adjustment back off & start w/ the bearings.

I am helping a friend with a 930 Case 6 speed. It has the older style steering cylinder with the valve bolt that goes through the cylinder and connects to a clevis style steering rod. My question is which port does the high pressure hose go to? The rear port or front port.

The steering gear box needs to come out and new bearings put in. Water gets in the case and ruins the lower bearing and race. I have found the bearing by googling the bearing number. Have done three of mine. Gear box and column are no fun to lift out.

Welcome to the Forums.

Sorry, I can't help you with identifying the ports.

You will generally get the best results if you start a thread/post of your own. It appears casecollectorsc is replying to Bencase930's post from 2021. It is not uncommon, and it happens when the date is missed and not every post in the thread is read. People want to help everyone and the beast way to get that help is by stating your issue on its own.
