primer is on

Got the tires covered, everything prepped and got the primer on today. Will paint tomorrow. Took me a good hour or better to cover the tires. This won't be a "correct" paint job as the fan, starter and what not will be red...but it will be red and grey not blue like it once was. Excited to see how it turns out. Anything I didn't want painted is masked off.

Lisa: Primer looks good!!! For masking tires I use undiluted Dawn Ultra dish washing soap. Simply brush it on, paint, and wash tires to remove soap and overspray. Leaves the tires looking much better. If the overspray is heavy, simply scarify it with a wire brush, then rinse with water. Simple and fast. You may want to try it sometime. Bert

It sucks!My laptop isn't even a year and a half old...HP brand at that... And the cooling fan went out so i had to pay someone to get my info off onto a hard drive so i can send it in beings I purchased the 2 yr service plan....I'm still waiting for the box and shipping label to come for it...sucks caias I keep all financial stuff on it and I'm ocd about keeping it up to date.

Red is the correct color for starters and generators. The only reason you see so many black is because they all go to the auto electric shop to be repaired and those guys refuse to stock all of the correct colors so they all get painted black. So a lot of people think that that is the way they came.

What type of primer it that? Self etching? Just wounding why you didn't go with the Red Oxide for the red parts and a grey for the gray parts?

My HP laptop quit after two years due to a bad internal connection. My computer guy tried to repair it but was unable to.

It's self etching. Got it at tractor supply. I'm not sure why we didn't. Wasn't being too fussy as were selling it anyhow. First tractor we've painted so it's a learning process. I can't get pics to upload for some reason. But its all done

Thought that was what it looks like. There is an etching liquid you can wipe it down with before painting. It's just a clear liquid much like lacquered thinner. Cleans as you wipe.

It was van sickle brand primer. We did wipe down everything before priming with some sort of stuff although I don't know what it was.
