primer question

I'm off work til Jan.3rd so I reckoned it a good chance to get something done on my 60. Thought came to mind of getting some painting done....like the 3-point setup, toolbox, front bracket, etc. For final John Deere green paint, I'm going to the dealer so I'm not taking a chance on using the Valspar paint that might turn a blue shade later. I'll use the Valspar green and yellow on implements that don't matter so much.

My question is that I also have the Valspar primer from Tractor Supply. Do you think that primer will be good enough or should I buy the actual John Deere primer at the dealership also?

Thanks,
Arnie

What makes you think Valspar doesn't make JD paint also ?? JD doesn't and probably never has made paint. You might want to go over to the paint and body section on this forum and research the archives or post your Q. You might be surprised.
