Ok I'm back, I ran my tractor out of diesel, how do I prim it , so I'll start.
It's a select o shift
Thanks

It's the fuel
I was running it and ran out of diesel, now it wont start, I'm assuming I need to prim the fuel pump

They put Select O Speeds in 601, 801, 901, early 2000, 4000, 6000 and late 2000, 4000 plus 3000 and 5000 tractors plus several industrial derivitives.
What tractor do you have?

Select-o-shift is the transmission, actually it is a Select-O-Speed. now is it a 641 or a 971 or a 4000?????Perhaps looking on the transmission case above and behind then starter.

I assume that 641 was a typo. A 641 wouldn't have a S-O-S transmission.

Back to his original problem......running out of fuel.
Need to bleed the whole system starting with the filters.
Best bet is to get a manual or find the procedure on Youtube.

Make sure you have a battery that is in good shape and fully charged. Might even hook another battery up as if you were jump starting. Start cranking and squirt a little either into the air cleaner rain guard just short bursts of either. It should crank pretty well like that without removing any lines at the injectors.

Like Hurly said you will need to boos the battery from your truck or something. Plan on cranking it for an hour.
