Problem with Dad's Jube lift...

Hey Fellows,

Dad called today and asked if I would post a question. His Jubilee won't lift at all. It did fine last year but over the winter something has happened. He said in the past he could hear the pump "sing" when it was working but now isn't singing.

Anyone got any ideas or comments I can give him. He also said his pump is on the outside of the tractor with two lines coming off the pump.

Sounds like the pump has lost it's prime. Sounds like it may be a vane pump too if it whines. There should be a big hex nut/bolt on the side of the pump. Remove it and pump some oil into that opening. Put it back on but leave it loose and start the tractor. If it primes you will be able to tell by the sound and some oil should escape the hex plug. Tighten the plug and then see is it works.

If not I have a file for my trouble shooting the NAA lift. Get back if you want it.

ZANE the lift on my NAA works but seems to correct it's self a little and only works with the draft control down when you raise the control lever all the way is this normal
