Problem with Predator 3500 generator

I have two V2 Predator 3500’s. The best advice so far here is to clean the spark arrestor, and if that checks out spend the 20 bucks on a carb. I run all my generators on LP only because of storage issues, the other benefit is the spark arrestor stays cleaner much longer on LPG.
Some other things to consider: There have been some reports of the fuel shut off being a problem with the plastic knob cracking and not turning the fuel on. Also, if it’s a version 1, there is an igniter at the bottom of the enclosure that sometimes will get oil in it from the oil sensor leaking oil into the wiring and then it wicks into the igniter. You get a couple of spark events then nothing. Fairly common on version 1. If this is the case, relocate the igniter up high, replace the oil sensor and igniter, run a new wire then monitor it periodically for oil wicking.
