Production codes once more.

I had all of the information written down in the computer and the computer went belly up and I lost all and for some reason I don't do well with the search.

So here is what I have D3424C tagged as a production code and 4M03B tagged as the model number with C447374 as the serial number.

Looking at the sheet of production codes, serial & model numbers I think I have the production code and the model number switched. Do I?

Model No. D3424C:
D34 = 4000 (orchard version)
2 = gas engine
4 = Independent PTO
C = 8 speed transmission

Production Code 4M03B:
4 = 1974
M03 = December 3rd
B = Day shift

Serial No.: C447374
C= Made in USA
447374 is consistent with late 1974 manufacture

model id

d 4000
34? chassis type. dunno. i see 30 and 31 listed.. asvinyard and narrow
2 gasser
4 ind 540 pto
c 8spd live pto

someone else can tell you what a 34 chassis type is. dunno.. maybee some ind or lcg model...

c prefix sn is american

C447374 very late 74

date code of 4M03B =
4 = 74
m = december
03 = dec 03 1974
b = day shift

that all jives with the sn..

Thanks Guys, I thought that I had them switched. Don't know how I did it but for me I know it wasn't hard.
