Been working on putting the 830 together this week. Cleaning that housing out was a major undertaking. I flushed it with diesel, blew it out, wiped it out, used a magnet and vacuum and it still took several hours. There was some metal shavings which was a normal a.ount, but it just didnt want to give it up. Even used a magnet and every time I looked in there was more. But I think I got it pretty good.

Then putting the gears in started. The book is not real clear on the order to reassemble and so I got to take things out and start over a couple times. But got the gears and differential in.

The bearings finally got here for the axles so those will go in this weekend as well as a rebuilt pto. Still waiting on the parts for the 3pt cylinder rebuild. But hope to have it all running next week.

Looks Good Jon, those castings are a pain to get clean its like the surface Holds in the trash

Jon, You may consider putting a magnet or two in there and leaving them there, if you were afraid that it would move you could epoxy it fast but I have never seen one move. On my DC engine builds I put a couple cow magnets in the pan, and you would be amazed how much fine stuff they accumulate over the years.
