Proofmeter cable

When I rebuilt, I installed a new proofmeter and proofmeter cable.

After three days of running, only about 10 minutes a day, the meter quit working. I took the cable off and the internal drive shaft was wrung off.

I did notice that the ferrules where it connects to the meter and at the governor end were not very tight. I don't know if this was the problem or not. At any rate, I've ordered another cable.

I would appreciate any tips to help me install this one correctly, so it won't happen again.

Thanks,

Roy

Thanks Brian. My cable came in today. I coated it good with lithium grease as you suggested. Tightened both ends real good. Hopefully, this will do the trick.

Thanks for your response.
