Hello, can someone tell me what size the proofmeter is. Wanting to know if its a 2in or 2 5/8in or something different. Wanting to put one on my 49 8n but dont have the proper dash. was wondering if I could purchase a guage cup and modify it to mount the proofmeter. Thanks Brian

That's what I was thinking about doing with my '49 8N also, was thinking about finding or making some sort of bracket that resembles the type for round coils on older vehicles. I don't know the diameter of the proofmeter, but I'm guessing it's bigger than 2 5/8".

I have a 1949 8N that I added a proof meter and a temperature gage. I posted a wanted ad in the ad section of this site and on the other site for a later model dash. I forgot how much I paid but it was not expensive and worked great.
