52 8n side dist. 12 volt. Has any of you had any experiance with the aftermarket 8.00 proofmeters? The tractor had one but no cable. I bought the cable and the proofmeter didnt work. Took it off on it sounds like it is broke on the inside. Also, the place on the govornor where the cable hooks on was not covered. Should I pull that apart to clean it? Im not restoring so I dont need the original but also dont want to waste my money.

Don't get the ones offered on ebay [$8] that say they're slightly off. They're no good. I bought from YT and they have a warranty.

bought mine from this site --- works fine -- my "port" on the governor was all greased up -- just did little cleaning & put it together.

The hard part was getting to the connector with the frame of my jungle gym loader in the way.

the 8.00 ones run at double speed. I found out the hard way.
