Propane 730

Inherited my dad in laws 730 propane and we decided the "solonoid" was bad, ordered another one and put it on, just like I took it off I thought. By solonoid I'm talking about the part with propane running through it just before the regulator with a couple of wires. After I got everything connected I turned the key on and heard a pop, now I don't have any power. The lights don't work and it won't try to start at all. I'm not sure what popped but I'm guessing a electrical solonoid or fuse which I haven't been able to locate yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Fuse is on the left side just behind the resistor block. Pretty sure you hooked the wire to the other side of that block. If you click on my avatar and go to my media you'll find the wiring diagram.

Got it printed I'll check it out tomorrow.
Another question, we took the fuel solonoid out while waiting on the new part and I connected the lines together without the solonoid. The tractor started and ran, is this something that has to be there, and what purpose does it serve?

LPG fuel control solenoid when in off position relieves fuel pressure/supply to fuel regulator when engine isn't operating. One could close fuel valve on the tank then allow engine to operate until the fuel in lines/regulator is depleted & accomplish similar results.
