Im on a monthly delivery program they have where you let them check and fill (what needed) it monthly, on a regular route that way you dont pay a delivery charge and suppose to be at a discounted price!!! I find it easier to pay that smaller monthly payment then one big charge every 6 months and I dont have to check it either!!! I pay only sales tax on the $1.65 a gal, no delivery or other charges!!!!

I got rid of Amerigas 4 years ago, their prices kept going up, it took them 6 months to come and get their 500 gallon tank.

I own my two 500 gal. tanks so I can shop around and fill up in summer when price is low. I won't ever buy from Amerigas.

Bob, there are no maps that I know of that shows where the countys are so does't help much. Town name yes but have no way to look up where you are by county name. I do have the books of all these states for all rual roads but no county nanes. Ohio where I am from, Michigan, Indiana, Pennselvania, Kentucky. Tennesey and more and none list county names. RRLund says his county name different times but with no town name I have no Idea where he is located.

I have been thinking about that hasmat fee. Who desides what goes on it, the fedural goverment and only the goverment can deside what is on the list. Not the dealer of gasses that sell both propane and oxygen. That is not up to them to decide. They just take their total sales and the amount they collect and just turn the total into the govermentin taxes they are supposed to report plus what they are NOT supposed to include as it is easier for the companys to do that than keep seperate books as what is sold that they collect taxes on. As long as the goverment get mony they are not supposed to be getting they are not going to do anything to stop the unlawful collection of the taxes. That fuel recovery fee one posted about would be one of those unlawful fees. So unless someone powerful decides to take on the companys not following the law nothing will be done about it. That one company in Lima is the only one of the several I have had since 1965 to 4 years ago as where I an it is natural gas and cost of gas is included in my rent and does not change the rent per month. It is easier for those companys to lump everything together that keep seperate books as to what they see that they are supposed to collect tax on and what they are not suposed to be colection it on. The delievery fees nothing could be done about it except change companys and that is not always easy Just wish someone powerfull enough to take on the companys on those hazmat fees would do it..

I got rid of Amerigas 20 years ago. Bought my own 500 gallon tank for 800 bucks, back then. Now I can use whoever I choose. I use a Farmers Coop, waaaay cheaper. I don't know how Amerigas stays in business. They even tried to change their name to Heritage. Didn't work.

Thanks, that helps picture where you are. If every body that just gives a county name would switch to town name would help. And that goes as well for the weather channel taking about where the bad storms are you unless you are from the area you have no idea where the weather is. Like it has been down south you are not even sure what state they are talking about. Towns you can find on maps but not countys.
