Hi,

On the 1956 I recently purchased I discovered that the washer was missing on the PTO clutch housing is missing. It continually slowly drips oil. I have as tight as I can get.

I can't seem to find the required washer, A4809R.

Any idea where I can find one?

Thanks

I wonder if this washer would fit this application?

yes it is a 1956 JD 70

The 4808 is the washer for the other oil plugs. this one is bigger ID. 1 3/4" and OD of 2 1/6" and 0.065" thick

anytime I can replaced a washer with one of these I do...oil drain plugs....oil level plugs etc..

"washer with internal o-ring"

Wouldn't be too hard to make one on a drill press with a couple of holesaws.

I had actually made one out of aluminum that we use for gasket material at the manufacturing plant I work at. That was still leaking. So I used Teflon tape and it has stopped. I got it painted this weekend, looks great. Thanks for everyone's input.
