My uncle has a 200 diesel. He split the tractor 2 years ago, repaired whatever, has put back together and the pto dont work.Is there something in the control valve that would stick to make it not to work?Everything on the tractor works but not the pto.He has a manual etc.Was wondering what to do next,if there is an easy solution, and what to look for? Thank you Dean E. minn.

I can give you some ideas. It's been a long time since I worked on these, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
Has the PTO worked since he had the tractor apart? There is a coupler in the PTO driveline, about underneath the power director clutch, that has to be in place. It can come out of place when the tractor is split there. It was the same basic coupler that was originally operated with a lever that engaged the PTO, before, or in place of the hyd. clutch.
What I can't recall is whether on this tractor the PTO and power director valves operate together. For example- the 180-185 PTO AND power director operating pressure was established by a spring loaded poppet in ONE of the valves.
With the two speed PTO I think there is also a coupler in the drive line just ahead of the rear housing cover(where the two-speed drive is located).

Like Bob said - Some original 190 & 180 had manual PTO's so there was a disconnect lever/shaft for the sliding coupler on the left side of the torque tube behind the battery box. See if there is still one on the 200. It might have been flipped to the disengaged position during the split. Mike
