Hello all. I recently just got the pto conversion kit for my 2N Im just
wondering if its easy as unbolting and taking the old one out and just
putting the new one in and bolting back up? Do I need to like any
gears up or anything sorry if its a stupid question I just dont want to
mess it up since I have to use this tractor every week. Thanks for
your help!!

Nothing special - unbolt and pull the old one out then slide the new one in. But its a 70 year old tractor and things don't always go as easy as they should so I would not start the job if I absolutely had to have the machine back in service in a day. Murphy is sure to show up if you do.

Old tractors definitely have a critical path detector.

The easiest way to drain the oil is right there at the PTO. That way you can control how fast or slow you want the oil to drain and can stop it if you need to dump your drain pan.
