I have recently had my Ford NAA Golden Jubilee split apart to replace two gears in the transmission. I have since replace the gears and put the tractor back together.
Everything is fine except for the PTO. When the tractor is running and put in gear, the PTO engages like it's supposed to. The problem is that if I want to shut the PTO
off, I cannot because the handle wont move. It is in the straight up and down position. I made sure the lever on the inside of the plate was inside the slot on the PTO
shaft. What have I done wrong and how to I fix it?

I found the problem. When I originally put the shifter plate back on, the pto shaft was in the on position and I didn't realize it. Took the plate off and used a crowbar
to move the shaft toward the back of the tractor. Put the plate back on and everything is good to go! As a matter of fact, when I got home from work this afternoon, my
wife was brush hogging the furthest of our two fields.
