pto mounted pulley

Ran across a 730 COM with a flatbelt pulley mounted to the PTO. It is a Case unit with a 90 degree gearbox. I never saw one like it before. Sorry, no pics. Anybody know anything about it??? Thanks, Bill

My uncle picked this one up a couple years ago, I put new bearings and seals in it and repainted it. We have not used it yet, he tried to mount it on his 830 or 930 comfort kings (can't remember which one) and it wouldn't fit, think he said it would fit the 100 series and earlier 30 series. Maybe he will chime in and tell us what the figment issue was.

Some COM tractors had a rear mounted pulley.

I've got one like that too, it came from my uncles place, who had one of the last 500s (toy ones, not the
real ones) I thought it'd fit my 830CK but it won't. The bolt pattern on the casting is slightly
different and it' won't bolt up, so I guess, like stated above, it's for the smaller tractors. I'm not
sure it's strictly for the COM as my uncles was straight geared.

I can't put my finger on one of pics of the 500 we used to have on the farm in the 50s, I'll have to dig a bit. Dad had a Racine 400 and Grandpa had a 500, quite a crew...... Larry

Just maybe we should tie drawbars together, your 500 on one end and mine on the other...... That would settle this discussion, before it gets out of hand. Darn near as bad as Chevy/Ford boys. What was really funny a bit ago, I was down the road at an Amish Harness shop, pot belly stove going and the boys sitting around enjoying the day, when a kid walked in (20ish I suppose) and the boys went nuts. The young man has quite a goat herd and makes a good living dairying and selling meat. You should have heard the raspberries they were giving him about his goats comparing them to their cattle..... it was a stitch
