I've can't seem to find any matches out there for my wore-out PTO O-ring from a '41 H. The IH part number is 58419D and seems to have been discontinued with all stock depleted. I sourced a round o-ring hat was close, but it just won't fit into the rear end. The original is actually a rectangle and measures ~0.1840" x 0.113" with an ID of ~4.09". Hard to say exact because it's 80 year old rubber and in bad shape.
Does anyone have any leads on a suitable replacement? The big o-ring suppliers don't seem to have cord stock that comes close to matching these measurements. I'm desperate enough where I might try to repair it with o-ring adhesive and doctor it up with RTV, but I'd really prefer to find a NOS part hiding somewhere.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks Millwright. I did see that post, but the alternative part number (358208R1) seems to be for a round o-ring that is about 3.5 in diameter, and I don't think it will work. Might be worth a shot if all else fails.

Not having any luck sourcing one anywhere..

Messick's has six of 358208R1 in stock ready to ship $11.04 each.

Others have used this part number successfully. Messick's says it is the modern substitute. You're not going to find the original square o-ring, if it was even square to begin with and not squashed square being jammed in there for 80 years...

I have a WD9 and Super WD6 but have never pulled the PTO on either. The only way to sniff out an actual size is to accurately measure the groove, small diameter, then groove width and depth, within a couple thousands. Then the location, face seal(under a flange) or static(in a bore).

Rectangular rings are not available, only choices are O, Quad(X) or square. With the measurements, groove design tables can be used to get a good candidate.
