PTO or not?????

Can anyone tell me if a farmall 340 will run without the pto? i would like to remove it for tractor pulling if my club rules will allow it.
Also where can a get a used delete plate if this is possiable?

Yes just be sure to also remove the shaft between the unit and the countershaft in the transmission so its not waiting to fall out. A cover off of a 300, 330, 350, 400, 450, 460, 544, 560, 656, or 660 will also work as well as a few oddball models as well. Just a four bolt cover and a big o-ring. I saw one of the covers on ebay the other day.

O-ring is part # 384398R1
O-RING, power take-off opening cover (7-1/8 x 7-17/32 x 13/64")
