How do I remove bearing retainer on a mf- 135, it looks like it's thread on but I have tried to turn retainer
but it dosant come off, I've tried both ways the bearing is gone , I am trying to replace the seal, my book
doesn't discuss how to remove it. This is on my PTO shaft seal mf-135

I made a slide hammer about 30 years ago with a cup that fits over the end of the pto shaft and allows a 5/16 bolt to be fitted through the shaft. Never failed.

I can't tell if you're trying to replace the bearing or not. The seal housing should come off the shaft easily once you have the shaft OUT of the tractor. I was unable to get mine out with a screwdriver. I used a bearing race set. They are available on Amazon for pretty cheap. My seal was either original or put in the wrong way as the new AGCO seal looked nothing like it. Use the bearing/race correct size and put it on the lip of the old seal. It should pop right out. It will be easier if you have a press. I do not.

For the new seal, put some grease around the edge and tap it in gently with the other side (flat side) of the race set. I would order two, I damaged the first one putting it in. The "open" side faces IN towards the tractor. See pics below.

I'm trying to replace seal but also will changeout bearing but can't get retainer to come off, do I need to
remove shaft and how do I get shaft out? I haven't seen any snap rings or anything else holder retainer
off, I have trying turning retainer both ways but don't know If. It screws off right or left hand thread

There is no thread on the seal housing when it goes on the PTO shaft inside. Hook up an implement PTO shaft if you have one, then pry on both sides of the collar with a screwdriver or pry bar. The whole housing will come out as pictured above. The shaft will pull out of the tractor as well.

If you want to do the bearing, you'll need a new circlip and bearing to fit to the existing PTO shaft.

Those are my pics. :) Probably gleaned them off TBN, I came here to post exactly those.

But yes, after much prying, etc... the above pics are what I crudely fabricated out of some leftover angle iron (cut down the center, rewelded together into a flat piece), then crudely cut the holes with my plasma.

I can post more pics of it later if needed, it's hanging in my basement.

Also, I miss that old truck, '94 Toyota Pickup, 22re, 4x4, unstoppable until I blew the motor out of it, which was my fault. :(

Ok I got the shaft out, but I managed to mess up the shaft probably beyond repair, I can't seem to locate
the proper shaft so my next question is where can I find one that will work for a mf-135, serial number
9A 188210, yesterday tractor parts man couldn't find it. What's my best option, I know it's 22 3/4 long
and measures real close to 1 3/8 dia.

Thanks to all who responded to my post, update managed to complete seal replacement for the PTO , had few small issues but was successful with no leaks , thanks again for yalls help!
