PTO won't come on

I have a CASE 235 with a 60 in. mower deck. The deck PTO is on the front.

While mowing tall grass the front PTO quit as did the deck. At the same time the charge light came on. Now, if I try to turn on the front PTO is won't do anything. The tractor runs fine otherwise.

Can anyone tell me what the problem may be. My father-in-law said there may be a pin that broke off to make the mower quit and protect something else.

I"m not mechanical at all, so any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

expert?, I am not , But ,seen a similar problem with My JD, has an electric clutch for the mower deck, it will not engage unless the battery has a strong charge in it ,, a bad onnection wll do the same thimg , and is more than likely the problem , or perhaps a ground ,, take a battery charger and connect to leads that run the clutch and see if you can get it to engage,,,Its tuff not knowin where to start,, I know ,, ... The guys here are pretty good about helpin out ... hate to break it to ya ,,, But you just as well cure your ignorance with a little hard knox education like the rest of us got over the years , you'll be dirtier , but better off and more wiser,, of course the wiser ya get , the more problems you will be asked to solve ... You Gotta PAY if Your' gonna PLAY , most important thing is YOU will Learn something Every DAY til They are tap Dirt over your Nose with a shovel... Good luck
