Pull starting a case-o-matic

Just wondering if pulling starting a case-o-matic is possible I have a 730 and the battery wont turn it over? any suggestions? Thanks

Fix the starter or replace batt./cables. The motor has to be turning to lock the converter and towing won't do that.

you MUST have a decent cranking starter that will spin the torgue convertor fast enuf to lock up into direct drive , .. I often roll start my 800 case o matic,diesel , this is how I do it ...6th gear , decompressor loked down , direct drive engaged ,full throttle ... start crankin engine ,after about 10 seconds , when you can feel the oil drag pikup on tranny ..release brakes and let the momentum of the hill help the starter as you continue cranking ,dump the decompressor at the correct speed for 6th gear , and the tranny will transfer all that kinetic energy to the engine compression and start the engine... I have done that for years with a junkie starter that was slow crankin and needed rebuilt,, didn't hurt a thing .
