Pump setting

All, I have a JD 1120 with a CAV DPA fuel pump. The top cover had to be replaced due to crack. The spring under cover came off and I do not know hole settings. The only marks on the pump is DPA R 3432. I have the hole in the middle of the tomb stone and the other at the putter end of the throttle lever. It does run but it was not the same as before. Can anyone help. Would be great full. Thanks.

Is there any observable wear in any of the holes ?
Take her up a couple of notches and try it while holding a board near and ready to the air intake .

Put it were the holes look warn but still has issues. I would set the spring and the tractor would start. After I shut it off. I try to start it and it won,t start.

Hesitantly recommend more tension .
Cranking with the throttle at idle ,
Mid or full ?

That means nothing. Is there a setting code on the pump tag? SOME CAV DPA pumps have a setting code, some do not and have to rely on the spec sheet for that info.

There is no tag on it. It is a early CAV.

I have that info, but need the complete pump number to find the specs.
