I read an article in my local paper where a guy grew a 600 pound pumpkin by utilizing chicken and cow manures, lemon juice and Alka Seltzer. I would post a picture but I'm not sure how to do that. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of such a thing? Thanks

I think he meant the fertilizer soup. I havent heard of that mixture, not sure what the Alkaseltzer is for but could be a nuetralizer for some acid in his soil. Dad always put on lots of rotted horse manure and a little cow manure (may have been some chicken in there too). He had some nice gardens and big squash. Pumpkins are smaller and make great pies.
