Purchasing From the YT Store

Hey guys, I'm on the verge of my 20th birthday, doing my apprenticeship for an Ag mechanic and I absolutely love old iron. I'm use to sourcing my parts from all my local stores and using such things as telephone and snail mail to locate most elusive parts but I was wondering how this ordering from the YT store works. I have my own credit card so I imagine that that puts me ahead but do they ship to Canada? I'm located in Ontario about an hour and a half west of our nations capital Ottawa. I really appreciate all the help I receive on here and I look forward to any replies, thanks very much

Your best option is to just contact YT. I think I read one time that they do not ship to Canada, but please do not take my word for it. Things may have changed. I've tried shipping to Canada a few times, and I won't say I won't do it again, but it is a real hassle with the customs forms and all.

Allan, you can find everything you need at home. Importing parts ends up being expensive because of brokerage fees and you have to pay GST regardless of where the parts come from. Carquest can get a lot of stuff for engines, lots of tractor wrecking yards that will ship. lots of machinery and tractor dealers that can find what you need..shop close to where you live and you will eventually have a network for everything.

As others have said, with having to pay brokerage fees and shipping from the states, price paid for imported parts cab add up real quick. A&I Parts, which have a warehouse in Woodstock On, carry all kinds of parts for any colour tractor. Find a local dealer that carries there line. That would be the best route to go.

I have to add that if you do place an order, it will likely be at your door a heck of alot sooner than you expect it. The quality is good but the shipping sets the standard. Here in WV, US I get stuff about 44 hours after the order is placed. Not sure on the Canada thing, but I cannot see why they would miss that section of the market. I sell on eBay and have no problem with shipping to Canada. Heck, I have even shipped to some obscure Pacific island.

Be careful with that credit card, though. The smart ones pay off their debt every month. I carry a balance, and am therefore owned by some card company. But it ain't that much...

On my fishing trips North of Int'l Falls I have seen a few JD's in the weeds and IH also. Get off the trans Canadian HWY and you will see vintage equipment. A friend runs his saw mill with a JD 40 in that area. The area is full of older cars that stop running and parked in the woods. If I recall the area south of you is farm land soo look for scrap yard.

I looked in the YT Shipping Rates and they do not ship parts out of the USA, but they ship manuals worldwide.
