Purox gt250 torch

Is this a good torch or is it obsolete? Looking at a nos for $220. Complete with regulators and different heads

Not familiar with 250, but purox makes quality torch and regulators. I like the tapered seat on tips better than Harris flat style as it seals better. In our shop quality torches are either Purox or Harris. both readily available at any major welding supplier.

It will depend on what you want to do with the torch on whether it is obsolete or not. If you only want a torch to cut metal you can get a plasma torch that will do a better and faster job. If you want it for heating metal for bending, that torch is just fine.

I will want cut, weld, heat and anything else possible. I now have a cw200 which I believe is light duty and has A size connections, is the gt250 an upgrade or can I keep using the cw200 and get adapters to use the bigger B type connection hoses
