Ok, I have an older FMC 100 gallon arblast sprayer that we use in our orchard. It had two manual string pull valves that pump the contents from one side of the sprayer or the other, a left and a right valve. I am now using a tractor with a full cab and I no longer want to use the pull strings. I have installed two 12v solenoids in place of each pull string valves. I want to power/activate them with a remote control box. Currently, I have two latching 22mm push buttons NO/NC positions, 4 indicator (2 red/2 green) lamps and two 5 terminal 30 amp automotive relays.
I want the 2 red indicator lamps to turn on indicating that power is present at each button when the control box is hooked up to the sprayer. I want to be able to push one button to turn on the left side and push the other to turn on the right. I want the green indicator lamps to turn on once the button is pushed and the solenoid valve is activated.
I have tried a number of ways to wire this, I keep getting mixed results, none give me the result I want. Can anyone help with this? A basic diagram would be awesome. I have more relays 4 and 5 pin and plenty of wiring. I think this is a situation where I have looked at this problem too long and need some fresh ideas.
