Push button start switch

My Jubilee has been running fine, when to start it today and got nothing when I pushed the start button. Could the problem be the start button or maybe the relay? How do I test this problem.

Thanks for any help,
Earl

If you want to test the switch, disconnect the wire coming from it and put one lead from an ohmmeter on the switch terminal, the other lead grounded (somewhere on the tractor chassis nearby) when you push the switch, it should close the circuit.
Your problem could be any number of other things - dead battery, corroded battery terminals, bad cables, bad solenoid, faulty ignition switch, to name a few.

If you take the wire off the push button and ground it, the engine
should roll over. You don't actually even have to take it off. You
could just connect that tab to ground with a screwdriver. Be
absolutely sure it is in neutral because you are bypassing the
neutral safety switch.
If it does roll over inspect the switch more closely.
If it does not there are lots of possibilities. The little wire in your
hand could be broken going to the solenoid, the solenoid itself
could be bad, the starter may just be stuck in the flywheel, etc
